中職會長吳志揚順利連任，今天強調短期內最重要的任務是找到新企業加盟，他表示，4、5月前必須成局，否則2020年擴編一軍球隊就會延後。
根據中職擴編球隊方案，新企業加盟第1年先參加選秀，第2年打二軍比賽，第3年再上一軍。
中職每年選秀會都在6月底、7月初，吳志揚表示，2020年想要有新軍，新企業必須趕上7月季中選秀才行。
至於接觸新企業有無實際進度，吳志揚以「不方便講」帶過，不過他說：「經濟環境不好，目前沒有很熱烈反應。」
吳志揚表示，擴編不排除澳洲、日本沖繩較快，但組隊實力如何是重點，目前感覺澳洲職棒很有誠意，最近會到澳洲觀察比賽狀況，了解他們組隊來台的意願。
